MoU: Memorandum of Understanding
Code of Conduct: an expression of principles, values in a written document
INIMA: is an acronym for the International Network of Interim Manager Associations.
INIMA Board: the governing board exclusively consisting of Interim Managers that represent each INIMA Partner Association.
National Associations: also referred to as Partner Associations and Partners. They are non-profit organizations that represent the interests of interim managers in their respective Nations.
Partners: are National Associations that have approved this Memorandum of Understanding.
Institute, is a synonym to Association in this document.
Interim Management, Temporary Management, Transition Management, Contract Management are considered to be poly equivalent terms for the same profession. Preference shall be given to the term “Interim Manager”.
Interim Assignment, interim contract, interim project, interim mission, interim mandate are considered to be poly equivalent terms. Preference shall be given to the term “Interim Assignment”.
IM is the acronym for Interim Manager / Interim Management.
Client: the person, firm, or organization that, either directly or through an Interim Provider, contracts for the service of Interim Management.
Member: any “physical” person who is a Companion, Fellow, Full Member or Associate Member of the National Associations. INIMA does not have members, it has Partners who are National Associations.
Interim Provider provision of the services to be provided by the Member: any intermediary organization that searches for and places Interim Managers on assignment with Clients.
ISP is the acronym for Interim Service Provider.
Admission Fee: the “one-off” payment for the professional verification of the Interim Manager before acceptance into the National Association. The members may pay an admission fee to their National Associations. There is no payment from the National Associations or their members to INIMA.
